Closed loop 

Everything has already been and everything will come back.

In this exploration of temporal cycles, I am translating the concept of cyclicity into wearable objects. 

To document this evolution, I constructed camera obscuras, replacing the traditional pinhole with magnifying lenses.

​I built these devices to look from the perspective of the past and the future at once. The camera obscura reveals the image to me, which I then capture with a digital camera and present through contemporary media.

A further experiment closes the loop:
A contemporary camera photographs the image projected onto the translucent screen of the camera obscura, which is observing a digital photograph on a laptop screen.

The resulting images are digitally merged with the original source images, closing the perceptual loop.
