Calibration

An object inspired by the women philosophers Themistoclea of Delphi and Hypatia of Alexandria, exploring themes of harmony, balance, and the search for one's place within the structure of the whole.

Most of my sketches consist of verbal descriptions rather than drawings. I usually visualize physical designs in my mind, rotating the form and modifying it in my memory. 

In Search of Balance. 

The triangle form with a point (here, the zirconia) also echoes my signature mark - an open-bottom triangle with a dot - which serves as a simplified symbol of shelter/hut/home.
