Relics

I started sculpting this series of rings when my mother was fading due to cancer. My inspiration came from holy relics. For me, fingers symbolize agency, through them, we create, influence, and transform reality. Placing durable metallic coverings on fingers is like armor designed to strengthen them and their capabilities. I sculpted these pieces in the moments between caring for my mother and finished them after she was gone.

I have been modifying and expanding the project for several years.
